Craftsman Style Redwood Built-in Deck Benches

These built-in benches are made of redwood.
The uprights were directly bolted to the deck joists. All joinery is screws and plugs or pocket screws.
Finish is a Tung Oil/ Stain Mix.Design modified from Sunset Deck Book.

Your benches are great! I love the craftsman style. I also really like your paint combo on the house and garage would you happen to know what the colors are? The reason I ask is that we are going to repaint our prairie style house this fall and that’s just about what I had in mind. Hope my question isn’t too off topic here.

Giz, this looks really good. The deck and bench add a great deal of curb appeal to your home. You built a nicely designed bench that looks so invitingly comfortable.

Nice design. I love the idea of the posts bolted to the joists. I’ve been looking for an idea for benches on my own deck. I may have to steal your idea and incorporate it into my own backyard.

Thanks.
The colors are Sherwin Williams Bronze Green on the Bottom and Benjamin Moore Tate Olive on the top. The Brown Trim is a custom color. The red is Sherwin Williams Rookwood Red.
