Here is a table made of petrified wood and a piece of 1/4” glass.

Not much skill in making this, but I thought the wood was gorgeous. Acquired the stump from a shop in South Dakota. Saw the stump in the shop and knew that it would become a table. The picture doesn’t do it justice as to the blue color in the wood.

Thanks for looking!

i was in a rock and gem shop in South Dakota and they had 4 of these stumps available. I bought it just as it is. Saw the color in this piece and knew that it was coming home with me. The blue in this is amazing, and the picture really doesn’t show the incredible color in this piece.

The stump itself is about 12” in diameter and about 18” high. it weighs close to 100 pounds.

Unfortunately, I haven’t had a whole lot of time in the shop lately, so this had to do for the moment. What woodworker wouldn’t like a huge hunk of petrified wood as a display piece?
