Wine Tower - Wedding Gift #2

Another Nephew getting married this coming weekend. Thought this would make a nice gift with a couple of bottles of fine wine. This tower will sit right on their kitchen island and can hold 14 bottles of wine. The column is a single piece of curly maple, and the base and cap are made from African Mahogany.
I’m getting better with the Aspire software and my RoMaxx CNC …. hope they like the tower more than the wine!
The other wedding gift was hit and that’s how I ended up with a special request to do something for my other nephew.

That is so cool great design super carving. what a great gift. I was wondering if it tends to tilt if you take a bottle of off one side only.

Jim,

Actually the column is justing sitting on the base. I didn’t put the screws back in after I was done finishing it. I just wanted to take a couple of pictures prior to packing it for the trip to the wedding. When I first completed it I had three bottles on one side and nothing on the other side and it seemed pretty stable. I wouldn’t recommend loading all 7 bottles on one side.

Thanks for the compliments ….

Ray
