This is a Champagne Flute turned from, and still part of, a piece of Jacaranda. Subtle shading and a relaxed, though complex, figure, along with a surprising inner iridescence are the things I discovered in this species and made me eager to do more with it. This is the first piece of Jacaranda I’ve worked with. The Thing stands 6” tall and the Base is about 3-1/2” in diameter. It’s friction-polished.

Another great turning.
