Well here it is the final product. This is a large piece made from silver maple. I am calling these my reef series and I will turn them and texture them to represent a species of coral reef. After the burning and the red laquer work over it I layered a shading of american walnut dyed laquer. The piece was then feathered in with black laquer. I matted it all down with satin as I said before I feel the textural pieces require a soft finish. You are going to have to take my word when I say all of my work is as clean inside as it is outside as I feel this says alot about how you feel about your art. Hope it was worth the wait.

A beautiful looking vase. It’s very impressive. Doesn’t look like a turned object.

Amazing that someone who can figure out how to do such wonderful work can’t figure out the correct answer to the question:
YES, this is a completed woodworking project
NO, this is a project in progress

If you are honest, and you care about this forum, you have to answer NO. That takes you to a screen that makes it easy to decide where to post. Like so:

How do you decide where your post belongs?
Project – showcase your completed woodworking project
Blog Entry – write about your woodworking journey in a casual or tutorial format; whether it is a project in progress, inspiration or a challenge
Forum Topic – ask a specific question or post a specific request regarding woodworking techniques or tools
Review – post your personal review of a woodworking tool, course, book, magazine or DVD

Choose your post type carefully to help keep LumberJocks.com a unique and well organized resource for everyone.

There’s nothing difficult about that so I must conclude you don’t care much about us and more about yourself. Being selfish doesn’t help the forum. Twenty something days is not long enough to learn much. Show us your technique for following the rules first, then you can presume to teach us woodworking.

Thanks,

-- Jim

I have no idea who you are but I can tell you this, Your comments are uncalled for as this is a compleated project. This is not your site and if people like you want to make comments such as this I don’t have to participate in the site. You have just caused some one who I hope had alot to contribute to leave the site. You are extrimely arogant and I will leave it at that. To all who enjoyed my pieces sorry.
