Project Information

I am finding the Scrap Pile of Timber is becoming more Fascinating each time I look at it. The gluing together of wood to create a blank is very interesting….The amazing projects that all you LUMBER JOCKS create is very inspiring and encourages me to "Have a go" as we say in Australia. So this Chisel Handle is my "have a go" attempt to create a handle out of strips of hardwood sliced on the table saw and glued together. My intention was to have a continuous circle of different grains and timber running down the length of the handle…...didn't quite work out…...but I think I know where I went wrong. I'll try again next time.

Thank you very much for looking.

Kind regards,

Cliff.

Nice handle Cliff. These will get addictive and are fun to make. What can be better than making your own tools.

You sure find some pretty things that come out of that wood pile when you have a go at it, mate.

Looks like a good usable size and shape for a tool handle too. Nice work!! Keep digging in that wood pile!!!!!!!!

Cheers, Jim

Dave, Thank you. They certainly are addictive. Everywhere I look I see handles these days and get the urge to make heaps of handles, knobs and draw pulls.

Regards,

Cliff.

Thank you Bob. I have a new Robert Sorby Roughing Gouge and will make a handle for it soon.

Regards,

Cliff.

Hairy. Yes I think Tool Handles are becoming a favourite project for me too. Thank you for saying it's a keeper. I won't give it away!!! Ha,Ha.

Regards,

Cliff.

G'day Jim. Mate, I tell you, it is quite amazing what one finds in a Wood Pile. I am quite convinced that a non wood worker would just regard it as junk and take it to the dump, or use it as Bar B Que firewood.

But to a wood Man or Girl it is a box of treasures!!!!!!! I Love It!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the nice comments, it encourages me to keep on "Having a go'

Cliff.
