This was made from Old Australian Hardwood. Sorry there are no pictures of progress. The shape was not planned as I was basically going by eye and didn’t really know what I was doing and made so many turning mistakes, I had to keep rectifying these mistakes as I went along…..I reached a point where I had to say ‘That’s It’ otherwise there would be no mallet, just shavings on the floor. Ha, Ha. But it was a fun Project and I learned something from it. MORE MALLETS TO COME> WATCH THIS POST.

Thank you very much for looking.

Kind regards,

Cliff.

That’s a mighty fine gavel. Any judge or Masonic master would enjoy using it.

Turned out great Cliff for just playing around. Those are the best projects. What’s the weight?

Thanks Dave. Yes it’s great fun seeing just where we end up. Sometimes the creativity kicks in that way. Now about the weight…..because I gave that Mallet away I can’t weight it, but I just weighed a similar sized Mallet and it weighs around 1 pound 2 oz.

Regards,

Cliff.

Thanks Bob. Much appreciated….....Looking forward to seeing more of your creations. Those Spheres of yours were great!!!
