Project Information

Seal Team 3 commissioned me to design and build a couple of progressive plaques for their command. These progressive plaques are used to display the names of each Commanding Officer and each Command Master Chief serving this command. There are 32 black brass plates on each plaque. As you can see, a number of the plates are already engraved. These are the names of the individuals who previously held these positions. Going forward as a new CO and/or CMC comes in, one of the blank plates will be removed and engraved with the outgoing persons name and dates they served at the command, and then re-installed. Thus creating a historical record of the leadership of the command over many years.

The tile embedded in the center of each plaque is a piece of memorabilia donated by a former Seal Team 3 Member early on in the history of the team. The plaques are made from solid hardwood cherry, stained Red Mahogany and finished with several coats of clear lacquer.
