African mahogany bookcase for my collection of old books on carpentry and woodworking. Made of 50% left over cut offs – from dumpster diving. Shelves and side panels were biscuit joined together from 6” x 12” pieces. The fixed shelves were dadoed to the side panels and screwed together from the outside – then plugged with Teak. The butt joints really turned out better than I anticipated. Finished with several coats of oil based polyurethane.

Joseph, this is a gorgeous bookcase. You did a good job on the design and build. And using “salvaged” materials is a plus too. This is a nice piece that would be a compliment to any decor.
