Patty's Platform Bed

Project by Chuck Vosburgh posted 890 days ago 1257 views 0 times favorited 11 comments Add to Favorites Watch

The project was to make a king-size platform bed at a specific height with storage access underneath at the foot of the bed. Also to have a headboard with a shelf on top and strong enough to lean against for sitting up in bed. The idea is to have it look like it’s floating and have a clean, geometric, retro look to it.

Sounds like you put a lot of thought into this project. Mission accomplished. Good job.

Nice. I have been thinking about building a platform bed. Mattresses are so tall these days, I either need to build a stool or a platform bed.

Makes me tired looking at it. Time for a nap! One of the most comfortable beds I had was a platform. Very easy to get alot of support under the mattress without a box spring. Nice job.

Whew! That second photo is small. I would have liked to see the storage. Nice bed.
