I carved this from a piece of White Pine that came from a tree struck by lightning.
I must have carved this about 16 years ago. The color has changed over the years.
It has about 4 coats of Marine spar varnish.

I always like a project when the wood has history connected to its end result. How often do you need to refinish it or is this still the original finish? Very nice.

Debbie, Now that’s all you have to do is find the road, & you’ve got it made.

Your carvings are great! I always like looking at them. I’m especially appreciative of carving because I can’t do it. No skillz baby! Artistic as a pineapple. A chisel in my hand is as clumsy as a chisel in the flipper of a whale.

I knew it…you are an attraction…or should I say…one of those places you’ve got to go to, if you are in that neck of the woods. Great sign, Dick!

We do attract a lot of wildlife, I guess they know how to read the signs.
