So my in-laws needed a couple of garden boxes, and without any plans or fresh store-bought wood (these were made with scraps), these are the final products I managed to put together.

They were made with a mix of pine 1×4’s and some pressure treated 2×4/2×6’s on the inside bottom to keep any organic material from rotting out the bottom.

Also, I built these away from my own shop, so I was limited in the tools I could use. For this, all I used was a skillsaw, drill/driver, measuring tape and square edge.

The subsequent pictures were taken after I left, as my in-laws actually filled them with flowers. It was nice to see them being used!

It was also the first time I ever added mitred edges to any of my projects with a circular saw.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks for looking.

Nice little project. You might want to keep away edible garden stuff from the pressure treated bottoms though.

Thanks Jeff! I’ve been told it will only be used for flowers, so we are good to go.
