Project Information

Here are three candle holder centerpieces I made. They are about 20" long and 9-10" wide. This was my first time working with Wenge. It looks great, but my planer did not like the stuff. It hard and heavy, but very pretty. My wife and daughter both said that was their favorite one.

From left to right in the first picture:

Pine with bark inclusion with Padauk legs
Wenge with hard maple center with hard maple legs
Cherry with Mahogany legs

Below is a video of the build process. The legs are the only tricky part. But if you lay them out and cut them in the order in the video, it is can be easy.

Nice project. Wenge is one of my favorites too, but it'll splinter if you look at it wrong :)

Interesting take on the original design that came from Woodsmith Project. They make there base thicker. Nice wood combo. I made 10 of these last yr fun project.
