Another bent shaft canoe paddle

Meant to take more photos of this one before sending it off to it’s new owner. will try to do more photos on the next one in a few days.
52 inches in length with a 12 degree bend. Built of western red cedar. Blade is sheather in fiberglass and epoxy resin.

Joe, your paddles are beautiful and this one is no exception. Do you steam the bend? How do you joint the strips together, flat seams or routed cove and bead? Thanks for sharing.

Hi Candy,
On this paddle, the 12 degree bend was formed by cutting the shaft at 12 degrees, flipping the pieces are glueing back together. The strips are all flat and square, glued up and clamped using Titebond 3 as the adhesive. Got 3 more that I am working on right now in my shop.
