Here is a picture of an antique dresser that we recently refinished. I believe that it dates from the 1930’s. As you can tell, the drawer fronts are composed of book matched walnut veneers and the carcass is constructed of maple. The dresser was stripped, repaired and stained with a medium walnut wiping stain. The finish consists of a coat of vinyl sealer and two coats of Magnamax pre-catalyzed lacquer, in a satin sheen.
