Project Information
Zane is 6. Zane loves dinosaurs, particularly the gargantuan diplodocus. I made a diplodocus puzzle for Zane.
First image is the finished puzzle with its base.
Next is my design for the puzzle.
Since this puzzle has chunks extending far from the body I decided not to make it from solid wood, but instead to make it from Baltic birch plywood(3/4"). My best fitting piece of Baltic birch plywood remnant would not accommodate the whole design, so I pieced it.
Image three is the body which I could get from the piece of plywood I had.
Image four shows the whole dinosaur after I added a head and tail from one of the first cutoffs.
The fifth image give some sense of the dimensions.
And, the last image shows the base with various rocks and a fossil, too.
Thanks for looking in, lumberjocks.
And, have a great day.
