Mini Hope Chest - Cherry Mini Hope Chest - Cherry No-picture-s Click the pictures to enlarge them

This one is for my youngest daughter who is 17. It’s made of solid cherry 5/8 thick. It’s ~ 23” x 12” x12”. The Leigh Jig is great and cuts very well once you get it set up. it also gave my a good excuse to buy 2 new routers. There is a matching one made with walnut for my 19 year old.

These are prototypes for full size hope chests. I have the wood glued up for these 2 months ago but got distracted making some other projects including some bowls on my lathe.

Great looking chests. They almost look full size but maybe a great magazine storage.

Bob -

Very nice chests. I love cherry. I bet the full sze version will be heavy! What is your finish schedule? The dovetails look great.

Bob, you do very nice work. Too big to be a small box, though. LOL

Great job Bob. They look great, and the dovetails came out wonderful.

I think Don loves all boxes, just he loves small ones more.

I hadn’t looked at it that way before, Bill, but I think you are correct.
