Marquee I made for my youngest daughters movie themed wedding held this spring in a 100 year old theater. Found the letters in a local antique shop labeled “from the 1920’s”.

Design morphed from a simple picture frame to “Hey Daddy, can you make it look like a Movie Marquee and paint it and maybe make it light up?” What Daddy says no to his daughter, the Bride? LOL’s!!!

Approximately 3’ x 1.5’ x 6”. Simple painted pine box, arch and frame with an opaque white acrylic face and clear globe light border. Acrylic is backlit with a fluorescent light fixture. Box and frame assembled with pocket hole screws, has a vented back and lights are controlled separately. First use of my Kreg Pocket Hole jig for something other than shop fixtures!

It’s very creative. It must have been an unusual wedding and I bet everyone enjoyed it.
