Those look like some fun projects and nicely carved too. How easy is it to carve cottonwood? I think the keychains that you carved while watching TV awhile back look like something I would enjoy trying, not necessarily faces, but small things that I could do practically anywhere. That’s a great idea for the times when my wife thinks I’m spending too much time in the shop and not with her.

Fun! I just started to try the same thing. Have a little carving project to take along. My first carving is pitiful, but fun. Wont be the last. Those of yours are great fun. Good ideas.

mtnwild…. i would recommend keeping your first carvings so in the future you can see how your skill grows over time
