Jewellery and Jewelry

This gentle pursuit is fascinating me at the moment. Here are some of my first efforts along with a few of the ‘raw’ blocks of laminate from which they’re made. I re-discovered Tony Lydgate’ s book, “The Art of Making Fine Wood Jewelry” on my bookshelf and it has been a great influence and help.

So gentle compared to some past tasks, you can almost sit up in bed and do it <g>.

You might like this one too..

Neat idea and nice pieces, Stewart. That Lydgate…jewellery (Brit. spelling for this instance) boxes and the stuff to put in them!

Heck, two book sales plus a possible. What have I started? A few more & I’ll start claiming commission!

That’s a bargain Gene. Mine was $20+ quite a few years ago.

Well, I’m not buying the book. I’m saving my pennies to get some wood and try making some jewelry. These are really great pieces and the oval piece looks like a woman’s torso with the neck sticking upwards. I can only imagine that you could hang out your shingle and sell a load of these. Marvelous.
