This was turned on my ShopSmith. It is my favorite piece so far and my first goblet. I also added a captive ring just to see if I could do it. The wood is from a fallen Bradford Pear tree that fell during a recent storm. It is a pretty wood but not a lot of figuring. Rubbed with Capt’n Eddie’s Shine Juice and then shot with some spray lacquer.

your first Goblet is a “Little Belter”,
as we say in Chapelhall.

This turned out nicely and I’ll bet that it was educational and a whole lot of fun.
