A coworker of mine remodeled his living Room and Kitchen back in 2007. One little problem. Some how the Bar was just a tad to tall. The average bar stool had the bar at your neck/high chest area. I made these to remedy that by making them 38” tall. The design was just a mixture of things he had seen. They are solid red oak. with dark stain and Light highlight in Carved letter. We painted the inside of the letters, then sanded of the surface to remove the paint that was not down in the letter. Then we applied a Sealer to the paint and finished with something. (Don’t Remember) Letter is a V. He picked the colors that he wanted to match his room d├ęcor. He did most of the staining and painting himself. The carving was done a Sears Carve Wright before I got my cnc.
The seats are round and my wife helped me with the upholstery, by doing most of it herself. They do swivel. If it doesn’t make saw dust, noise or grease I am usually not interested. These were a lot of fun to make and I know his family loves them. I also made him a small “Wine Table” for two of the Chairs. The table is finished the same way with a glass top. I never got pictures of it finished.
