Adirondack chair for mom

This is a chair I made for mom. I actually made two…you can’t have just one Adirondack chair. The first one I made was from scrap pine I had laying around. I’m glad a made a practice chair because I saw one of the measurements were wrong.
The chair pictured is made from Northern White Cedar with a Spar varnish and made with a plan from Woodcraft.
I think is looks OK.

Nice chair. I have been meaning to make one.
One caution on the varnish. I made a chase lounge out of cedar and I put outdoor poly on it and it peeled off when I left it out for few years. I don’t know how it would have been if I took it in in the winter. Anyway. I had to scrape it all of..what was left on.. and treated it with teak oil and it has weathered nicely for 5 more years.

That is a good looking Adirondack chair!! I like your adjustment method!!

Nice looking Adirondack chair! Looks very comfortable, and I’m sure your mom will really enjoy it!
