A retirement trunk for a LtCol in the Marine Corps that I was commissioned to build. Medals and plaque being added later on into the lid.

I like the cedar lining. I don’t know if the marines still use any wool uniforms, but my Dad was in the Navy back in WWII – had a nice pea coat that hung in the basement and got eaten by moths. A real pity. A cedar truck would have saved it.

Awesome trunk. I like intarsia detail on front and especialy metal hinges and other parts.
