It has a very sophisticated look.

Greg,

I’m not sure about this one. Maybe the lighting? I’m uncomfortable with the tones of the colors. As always masterfully crafted.

Roaches? LOL!

I like it! Is this a new lid style? I like it but not totally sure how you did the back side of the box. Any pics from the back?

Do you have any idea how many of these you have made Greg?
You certainly have it down to a science.
This is another interesting variant.

Thanks everyone…even though I like to use a lot of exotic woods I have always liked oak. As a kid our family had a bunch of old quarter sawn oak country style furniture from the 1800’s. That is probably why I stockpiled a lot of salvaged oak after Katrina. I made a bunch of furniture with it and a lot of other projects.

Andy, I was just experimenting and cut the top in about an inch to do something different. I am not really sure if I like the way it makes the top look….but experimenting with designs is what makes it fun for me.

Thanks Greg, It looks like it would lend itself to a “Jerry Hinge” so I favorited it and may try one.

Greg, I like the way the sandblasting accentuates the matching grain at the corner. Metal hings are not your norm, but I like the look. Isn’t it amazing how the number of boxes stack up with time. One of the things I like about seeing your postings is the change you have made over time. If you are making boxes in the hundreds, you really need to do things to keep the process fresh. You seem to be willing and interested in experimenting and innovating. Keep boxing and keep posting.
