I built this for display in April 2015. I don’t get to do this often, I actually made something for myself. It is a series of five lockers, with the middle three being false. They pull down to make the bed.

Some improvements I made on this one is I now use Create-a-bed kit to eliminate the feet coming off the front. Before The name plates were the feet and they were a little heavy for the hinges. I still have the name plates but they are fixed and CAB’s leg now folds around from the inside. Another improvement is the divider between the lockers on the bed section. Before I’d just groove the seam between the lockers, but when I added bookcases you could see the different color divider of the verticals. To keep it consistent, I added a divider between the false doors too. You can see the evolution of my Lockers Murphy beds here.

Before you get mad, I choose the Cowboys because I thought a lot of people in my area would get excited over that team. We don’t have an NFL team. But here is what I hear a lot now. I love the bed, BUT couldn’t you have picked another team. That is exactly why I don’t stock up on my furniture, because my customers are always going to want something different.

Thanks for viewing and give a shout out to your favorite team.

Very cool. I really like your locker beds.
I can say one thing.
You really have carved out a niche for yourself making these theme style beds.

Amazing work. I don’t mind the choice of teams (being from Ohio the local teams do not give me much to brag about) but couldn’t you find a football lamp? :) Thanks for posting.

I’m currently building one of these for my son—- would you mind to say where you sourced the light/light switch? I’m using the other create-a-bed hardware set.

I have them built. In one self contained box includes the three stage touch sensor and the mercury cutoff switch. Also with the kit is the cord to the lights, cord to the touch knob on the headboard, the touch knob and the 2 lights. I’ll message you with a price.
