I started gluing up random cedar drops last December to make a coffee table for my son and daughter-in-law. I ran out of time and made a conventional top instead.
This table is part of a rocking chair and table patio set ordered before Mothers day by a returning client.
I wanted to make something special for them, they have been so patient.
Size, top-15” x 15”, approx. 20” tall.
The engraving of their family monogram was done by CNC router.
Thanks for looking!

Great looking table. The selection of cedar turned out extremely well for this project.

Classy looking table. Is this the aromatic cedar?

Very nice! Don’t see many end grain ERC projects. I’ll bet that soaked up some finish!

Yes it’s aromatic eastern red cedar, for a finish I brushed on 2 coats, and sprayed on 2 coats of water based Minwax Helmsman poly.

I’m enamoured with that. And I love it.
