Built this as a wedding gift for my daughter. Unfortunately they were married for over a year by the time I finished it! Most of the construction including drawers is red oak. Inside carcase is birch ply. Finish is poly/linseed/turp applied in multiple coats with final rub out with steel wool and then waxed.
Took 135 hours but took me a long time between other projects and interruptions (like working for a living!)

Very very nice . Other than a lighter finish it’s what you would imagine you would have picked up at the Stickley’s factory . Top notch workmanship it reeks of quality. Very well done.

It is darker in reality than the photos reflect. Maybe not quite as dark as an original, but quite dark. I let the couple pick the color they wanted and actually mixed two different stains to suit.

Beautiful!!! That is gorgeous. Great job on that and a great family gift. I’m always late with my special gifts too. They get over it, lol.

Just cruising the site and saw your project. Has a very high quality look to it, and the style and hardware are a perfect match. I haven’t been a big Stickley style fan in the past, but I sure like this one.
