I made this sidetable from an old fire mantel and a tile that came from the same house. The oak had some damage, but I managed to work around the defects. The frame is put together with mortise and tenon joinery. This is the sidetable after two coats of polyurethane varnish. Very nice! I have 9 ceramic tiles I found in someones trash, and some oak pallets and have been trying to find a project for them. This is perfect. Hope you don’t mind if I “borrow” some elements of your design?

Thank you both! Ofcourse not Pete! I’m glad I inspired you. Can’t wait to see what you made out of it. Good luck!
