This is a large cane handle using Madrone Burl in a more organic shape for a large hand. It is slightly asymetrical and the unique shape gives it a lot of character and still provides comfort. The pattern of the burl is unique and subtle, just as the colors of creamy beige with some pink. I added a collar of Pink Ivory to enhance it with the bi-colored Figured Cherry shaft. It’s a fun piece to hold, as the curves allow you to move your hand in several positions that are comfortable.

You know, that actually looks like it would be comfortable to hold in a large hand. I like it! Any pics of the shaft???

Good looking wood and finish, what kind of finish is it that you use?

I used pure tung oil on the first coat then additional coats of tung/poly by Minwax.
