Ok, this is a pretty morose box made during a divorce. The heart is afzelia burl cut in two with pigmented epoxy for ‘blood’ which flows from the heart and makes a puddle on top of the box. The barbed wire fence and gun turrets are silver. The top half of the fortress was turned from basswood and the bottom from pear wood… both dyed black. The top platform with the heart opens to a deep box which is also ‘blood soaked’ (including tear-shaped indentations). Tragic, eh? :-)

wow, when I got divorced I just sat around and felt sorry for myself. You’ve put your pain to work. Unique!

Thanks Rob. I don’t even keep that box out for show anymore…. a long bygone era. <grin> Hope life is treating you well nowadays.
