This is a Hidden Wall Bed that I completed in February 2015. It is my simple Alpine style. The customer wanted a Sofa to be placed in front of it. I had to make a few changes to make that happen. First to get enough height for the seat platform, I needed to raise the murphy bed up 4”. Then because I didn’t want the arms of the sofa to over hang the bed and if they were brought in they’d hit the bed when it came down, I added some inset bookcase. The verticals of the bed, which were normally 3/4” thick are now 8” thick inset bookcases.

I built the sofa frame and had it covered by the customers material.

The customer requested that the bed be sent unfinished.

It’s a nice design and very practical. Nicely done.
