Hello Jocks!
This is my first post so bear with me.
Here’s box I made for my wife a few years ago – it was my first attempt at “fine woodwork”. My shop has been pretty sparse as far as tools go so I used only a tablesaw and a #5 plane to do this. It’s bird’s eye maple finished with satin spray poly. It’s a little rough but my wife likes it – so that’s all that matters.

Nice box. Love birdseye. What did you have in mind for the five holes in the added piece of wood in the lower right hand corner?
If the wife is happy all is well.
Great job!!!!!

Thanks for the nice comment!
The holes are for holding chapstick or lipstick… uh… sticks
I left that piece just friction fit so I can add more holes if I need – or if she needs.

The wood choice is perfect and the fit and finish looks great from here.
You should add more pictures of all of your projects .
Martin was gracious enough to allow us to post 6 pix of our “children” here : )
