Well, here is the completed horse. I posted a blog entry a few weeks ago showing the boys on the horse. Well, here it is completely finished.
Horse is made from air dried walnut off of my grandfather’s farm. My dad now owns the farm. The mane and the tail trim are cherry (no special origin). The saddle halves and the inlays are all maple (once again, no special origin). Finish is simply boiled linseed oil.

The saddle would have been a whole lot harder without my Lee Valley spokeshave kit that I received for Christmas (thanks mom and dad). Thanks for the kind words.
