This is a bed built for Dawson. We built it in a train theme. A lot of work went in the little details. Details like the curved front end and top. We had to frame it up and use bending plywood to for the curve. I also added a light with a 3 stage touch dimmer. Of course we also put Dawson’s name on the bed as “Dawson Express”.

Finished this project in January 2015. It is built with a combination of maple plywood, MDF, and poplar.

That is delightful. I bet Dawson was thrilled as he should be!

Chris, I can’t imagine the look of excitement and pride on Dawson’s face when he finally was able to take his first trip through dream land in a fine locomotive such as this. He will never forget receiving this great gift. Way to go, Dad. You did a fine job on everything about this.

Nice job Chris! Looks like a new family heirloom has just been made and handed down to the first generation.
