Since Todd Baron is one of my favorites on this site, I was very excited to get this order. It’s a queen size bed and night stand made Eastern Red Cedar. Even the drawers are entirely of cedar. The night stand is 28 inches tall, 25 inches wide and 18 inches deep. The drawers underneath the bed are 22 inches deep, 23 inches wide and 10 inches tall.

The lettering was routered in free-hand.

Thanks for reading and all comments and suggestions are welcome.

It’s not Beetle Kill Pine? But it is a Monte Pitman! You have developed a unique style. Nice work sir.

I’ve done some red cedar projects in the past, but not on this scale. Love it! That red with the white touches is really pretty.

Wow Monte what a fabulous make. That cedar is “ShowTime”, not too sure if we can get that stuff down our ways, will the red die back or soften of over time ?
Great job indeed

It’s a beauty and must have a great scent to it. Well done on this one Monty.

The bed and side tables are spectacular! Your customer should be thrilled with these.

so happy for you monte, getting a commision like this is so rewarding, i love red cedar, and in fact have a very large headboard and footboard made from red cedar and i love it, i used the sapwood to make it look like snow on the mountain tops , its in my projects if you want to see it here there was a time i had some beautiful red cedar and also made a large cedar trunk for my daughter in law, it now resides in alaska, Here, its really nice to see you do your work in a different species of wood, Beautiful job monte.

Beautiful pieces!
2 questions …
What’s the purpose of the small door at the foot of the bed?

“Franks 4U”? Is that the place that specializes in hotdogs? :-)
