Simple vase with pith cracks on one side but not the other.

It’s beautiful how you centered the growth rings. You must have sharpened your tools well to produce such a nice result on a soft wood. Great work

Great turning. What diameter is the vase? Turned from a green log or seasoned? Nice clear finish that doesn’t mask the great colors of the pine. What did you use?

Finished with Rust-Oleum Gloss water base poly vase is 5” high & 6” dia.

Did knock the sheen off a little. Yes, rough turned wet to uniform thickness and completed week or so back. Will be posting some more end grain turned vases finished with water based poly next couple of days. Lamps finished and working on finished with shellac. Want to see which ones darken first.
