My first big project. Solid red oak crib, built a matching changing table to go along with it.

Fantastic job, dude! Did you design it too, or use a set of plans?

Wonderful, how long did it take you?

I only worked on it an hour or so at a time but it took me six months. And I found a plan that was similar but it didn’t have the curves on any of the side or the high solid back so I made those modifications. Was my first attempt at bending wood so it was a learning experience.

Excellent job.

Love your modifications to the design. The bent curves certainly enhance the visual appeal of this beautiful bed.

Keep up the good work.

in my opinion, the mods make it your own design, which makes this even MORE impressive! Once again; great work, dude!

A big project for a big occasion. It’s a special thing, creating something for your first born. A definite family heirloom.

Nice work on the curves too, everything flows well.

Thank you! It will be nice to see it get some use wen the baby arrives! I’ll try to get a better picture of it with the final poly and wax finished.

Bending wood, nice addition. That crib looks great!

Good job!
