Well I got a mini lathe for my birthday and have since becom extrmemly addicted to this. I am having a ball turning pens and other small things. These are 2 of my favorites made of Black Palm. The first one is a Black Chrome Patriot Pen and the second is the first Black Palm I ever turned Gunmetal Slimline Pen.

That looks wonderful the colors are great what finish did you put on?

One of the things I have learned when turning this wood is to sand off all the edges and use lots of ca glue to keep it from shattering. After I have trimmed it and let the tubes dry for awhile I put the blank on a srewdriver shaft and use a belt sander to make it semi round lessening the chance of a gouge catching the sharp edge so for I am 2 for 2 in this department,
