I was in an antique store last week and I saw one of these. It is made out of a crotch piece of cherry. I would have liked it to have shown the fork better, but I can try it again soon.
I will give you a warning, when you turn a round project and you touch it you get tapped. When you turn air like this project and touch it you get whacked. I thought that I broke my trigger finger, but it is just bruised.

Don’t know how large the piece is, however nice job on a very difficult project. Anything turned with wings is a challange.

It is about 6” wide; I usually start small and work my way up. I want to make sure I can make something before I chuck it up and waste a big piece of wood.
