Hey Everyone I have not posted on LJ for a little bit here is the reason why.Just finished and delivered these three rocking chairs to a good home in OK.One rocker is Curly cherry w/cherry burl ,second a curly walnut with walnut burl then the last curly cherry with redwood burl. These rockers are a little tougher than my normal rockers due to the burl wood you have to really watch the grain directions and stabilize week spots.I was pretty happy with the end result though.
Thank you for looking!!!

I’m glad you didn’t ask us to choose a favorite out of the three. They are all fantastic!

Gorgeous! That Walnut burl on the Maple back slat is a wonderful contrast.

Truly inspirational work Scott. It is neat to see the work that you continually put out and it is encouraging to see that you are staying busy.
So glad that you are a part of LJ!

Those are some great looking chairs/rockers. The colors and wood grain is just fantastic.
I love the looks of them.
Scott I’d love to get into your trade of wood for a chair. I just got some great looking maple burl.
Here is a couple of items made with one board.
