Greetings! I am happy to show you all the platform bed I made inspired by Silverhalo. When I first found this website i stumbled upon his design and immediately fell in love with the design and wanted to make one for my. I made the 4 corners from Mahogany and the posts are made from Walnut. I am very happy with the way the bed turned out although those joined corners are a bit proud and really hurt your shins if you walk into one of them. I finished the project with a rub on antique oil. All together this project took about 6 months to complete because I only worked on it a few hours a week. Before this project I was sleeping on a twin size mattress and made this bed a queen size. Thanks for checking this out.

Great looking frame—a definite upgrade from twin size!

Watch those shins!

That is a very nice looking design and even though I see how it could be a Shin buster , I still like it.

Have your say...
