Here is the final look of my earlier post – more elegance for the construction.
As you can clearly see that is not a perfect project, but I think for non professinal workbench-maker I did not do too bad. Materials used – northeren pine and african black ebony. Tools – well u all know I do not have any mashinery so – hand tools and hand power.

Great work but you should only post to the Projects site when it’s FINISHED. Blog you progress. Again, no offense and great work.

Looks like it’s finished to me. Never said what the bench stand was for, so I’m thinking it’s a great looking and very well put together table top stand. Or maybe a place to throw your saddle. Awesome job.

Nice joints. It would make a great base for a workbench.

Hay all, thank you for coments.
Yes it is a work-bench stand. I am doing a few of them for my classes – carving, guilding, cabinetmaking…
And so on. The top is simple thick MDF and some vises.
I tried to make a blog before but did not work do not know why – so i made an unfinished project.
Would be nice to try to work on a pacific yew. If you serious of course.

Nice looking bench, wood enhances your project, but your craftmanship and joinery shows your talent. VERY NICE. Outputer, where is this rule written that we can ONLY post IF the projects finished? I would like to see it in writing cause that’s one of the reasons I left the last forum. This forum is made up of MANY different people from MANY different parts of the world and it’s really to discourage someone that’s trying their best to acomplish something that others take for granted. If it is in the rules, show it and I’ll eat my words and no longer mention it again, BUT, if it’s not, CHILL OUT and give credit where credit’s due.

WOW, after looking at your other projects, I can see you do some really nice work. By the way, show your jig you made to make those mortise & tennons in the bench frame.

Hay John,
Thank you for your comments.
Well there is no jig, belive it or not, only tools – jupanise saw, couge, mallet, flat chisel a little scraper and most important of all clear mind and steady hands.
Actually there is a little sicret of achiving perfect looking result … perhaps I keep it with me for a while.

Nice, not even a jig. Well, keep up the nice work and MAYBE you’ll tell us your secret one day.
