I came up with this idea of the cross from seeing another project either on LJ or another site, I can’t remember where. It was a coffee table with boards connected like this to support the glass table top. After I purchased my Forrest Dado King set, this was one of the first projects I made. I had actually cut the strips of walnut and had them lying around long before I bought the dado set. The end pieces are maple cut just a hair wider than the walnut to spread the ends a little bit.

I think this will be a gift for my dad who is a retired UCC pastor,

That’s a nice design for a cross. Nice work.
