I just finished this – made mostly from scraps left over from other projects.

Welcome Charlie! Nice hunk of scraps! My wife just asked for a jewlery box the other day so I guess I’ll have to put one on my list of get round twos.

Thanks, Dennis. My wife has already informed me that she is much more interested in something that would go INTO a jewelry box.

Beautiful, there’s nothing like the old scrap bin.

Charlie, beautiful box.

Was wondering if you made the inlay strips or bought them? I’m going to suppose you made them and if so, what’s the wood? Bloodwood? Purpleheart? Holly? Tough to tell from the photos.

Nah, I wouldn’t begin to try making those. You can see them at www.inlaybanding.com

Hiis prices are much cheaper than Rockler, Woodcraft, etc.

Oh! Thanks a lot for getting back to me Charlie. I have a box I’m working on and was thinking about making the strips myself but I’ll check out the site. Thanks again.
