A lot of it is shipping as well as all the hands the wood passes through. Everyone needs to make a little and it adds up…

Beautiful wood!

I look at those beautiful bookmatched pieces and I see pictures. (Maybe it’s just me, but some of them are very naughty.)

Oh my gosh! This is just beautiful!!!! Oh how I would love to have a chunk of wood like this, but then again it would just sit there like it is because I would be to afraid of cutting it, but that is not a bad idea either, is it?
Mother nature in all her GLORY!!!
P.S. Thamks for sharing this, I may have never come close to seeing something like this otherwise. Oh there are times I just LOVE the internet and this is for sure one of them, Thanks and

Jack, I beg to disagree about the many hands it filters through being the problem. If that was so, then why can I get africam mahogany for $2-4 a bf when it comes from African rainforests. I think it has to do with it being on the endangered list.

Hallo Jack1.

Suppose, price/bdf is $ 20.00. container of 20ft can load 6345bdf x $ 20.00/bdf = $ 126.900.
seafreight for 20ft cont from my country to USA is $ 2.600
export tax,handling etc $ 4.280
i can sell to LJ’s member $ 5/bdf x 6345bdf= $ 31.725
so price/cont of 20ft is $ 38.605 without USA import tax.

$ 126.900 – $ 38.605 = $ 88.295. who is getting bigger amount of money from it ?
The importer or US government taxes departement ???
I like tobe rosewood businessman in USA than,so i can give free rosewood to all LJ’s members lol.
LJ’s members has to do something about it, is anyones there willing to help by asking how much import tax is ? or should i sell rosewood $ 10.00/bdf only for LJ’s members ?
Importers must hate me because of this lol.
