Here is another project that I “unearthed” from my basement, one of a couple of stools that I built for just general use, in the kitchen, dining room for unexpect large amounts of guests and more specifically for the bench room in the shop. The latts are spaced like they are so a pencil does not slip through, and also a very food companion for the drafting sessions which come up regularly.
It is really sturdy, as all the joints are hand cut, they are very snuggly fit and glued well, so it wont go kaputt. And it looks nice too… I am glad I kept one as a reserve so it makes a nice picture!
Made from Poplar and Finished with 2 component PUR lack.

Aesthetically pleasing and sturdy looking stool – that’s going to come in handy for extra seating.
BTW – where did you buy that basement that you’re pulling those projects out of ?
or are you mixed up in some business with Santa (always wanted to know how he does that) ? ;)

Nice sturdy looking bench seat. I’d add a pad though of course I’ve busted my tailbone twice.

Nicely done… I have been kicking around ideas for a patio bench… I wanted to keep it light weight and simple… this gave me several ideas… thanks.
