I was the Chief of Police for the Erie Police Department and retired two years ago. Erie is in the process of building a new Police Facility and a flag was flown over the U.S. Capital to commemorate the new Police Department. I was asked to frame the flag to be hung in the new building. I was honored to do so and this is what I came up with. In addition to the flag, is the certificate, a shoulder patch worn by the officers on the Erie Police Department and two challenge coins issued by the department depicting the badge and presenting the Department’s mission statement and values.

I want to give a big thanks to Tim from Tim_CPWD for his help and the information he provided. Check out his awesome shadow boxes.

Thanks for looking.

Wood Wizard, nicely done! Can you share with me the angels you used for the flag box? Specifically the bottom one?

Wonderful job John. That is to be admired by all who see it. They chose the right guy to make this.

You’ve done a fine job on this beautiful project and I’m sure that the department is proud to have it.

That looks great. I really like the color of the wood too, a good compliment to the items inside.
