This is my second ashtray design that I put together for a fellow woodworker and newest Friend! His generousity and kind hearted actions warranted this gift that I was more than happy to send his way. His participation and offerings here on LJ’s has grabbed my attention and his passion for the craft is a pleasure to watch ! Jerry was kind enough to send me some of his work including a one of a kind box that incorporated his prototype hinge design! So it was with great appreciation that I returned the favor with a one of a kind “Cigar Station”! Thanks Jer

The design is meant for a solo act and has a unique feature built into it that holds your portable music device/Smart phone via an adjustable stand. The wood materials are made up of Walnut, Wenge, and Purpleheart plugs. The copper pieces are custom made and the steel ring is repurposed from the automotive world! The finish is a water based poly that is spark friendly. A good cigar, some Johnny Cash and your favorite beverage should top it off nicely !

Thanks for looking and as always, feedback welcomed…......ROB

Hello my Friend! I’m so glad you finally got around to posting this beautiful smoking station. I absolutely love it and when it’s not in use it is proudly displayed on my fireplace mantle along with my other treasured collectibles.

Again thank you so very much for this beautiful work of art!

This is the finest cigar accessory I’ve seen yet! I love all the elements of it, the copper, and the general design and look of it. It’s functional and elegant at the same time!

And Jerry—lucky SOB…...!!

@ Ken, I happy that you came across my 2cd ashtray, only because I remember your favorable remarks on my first design. Once again your newest accolades are much appreciated…....be safe. ROB

@ Jerry, it pleases me to no end to hear that you are making good use of your gift!! You will have to let me know how it holds up overtime? Smoke one for me my Friend and be safe…........ROB

@ Dean, thanks for the generous comments and I too like the combination of the contrasting materials. It turned out as well as I hoped for. I have gravitated to using copper mixed in with different woods lately and I am having fun with that! Thanks again and be safe….......ROB

Pretty darn neat, nice display of the different materials. Does the cigar holder itself, slide back and forth, or is it stationary? Too bad that I don’t smoke cigars anymore, or I would want one.

Fellos, thanks very much for the comments, truly appreciated.

@Joel, Thanks Bud ! How is your shop coming along? My offer still stands, any help you need, let me know…..Rob

@Rockbuster, Thanks for taking a look and no the stand doesn’t slide. I had so many different ideas running through my head when I started this project I had to lock down a design and roll with it!

Nice work! Great project! I might have to steal a little of the idea and incorporate it into on made inside a cigar box! I have some small ones that are just too small for a cigar-box guitar and they might work for something like this! Thanks!!

Dennis, thanks and by all means, steal away! I really like your cigar box guitars, very cool. Have not had the pleasure of hearing one of these style guitars in person but hopefully one day!
