This piece has finally found a new home. It went to a very nice family.
This a reptile enclosure that I built for our veiled chameleon in 2002. (pictures are current)
70” H x 31” W x 20-1/2” D
It is made of solid Red Oak.
It has tapered legs and a nice crown molding at the top.
The back and bottom are 3/4” plywood covered with black laminate.
The top (cage) section is removable for easy transport.
The top is screened all 3 sides and has a front and right side door for easy cleaning and access to your pet.
The finish is Minwax Provincial stain and water based satin Varathayne.
The top has booth screen and hardware cloth to support lights and a drip system.
The frames are all built with pocket hole screws and holes were all plugged with matching Kreg plugs. I designed and built this because my wife did not like the looks of off the shelf enclosures.
The chameleon is long gone and my two sons have long lost their interest in reptiles.
I have tried to sell it a few times on Craigslist but I was not willing to give it away for pennies on the dollar.
(I will try to find a picture with all of the plants and the beast in the cage because it really was pretty.)
Thanks for looking.
